Although COVID eliminated many opportunities for swimming, I was able to break the longstanding 200 IM record at the Southwest Preparatory Conference with a time of 1:54.82.

I qualified for the state championships in the 400m dash (only TOP 4 in the region were able to attend state finals) for the Southern Preparatory State Conference. It was an honor representing my school and coming in 7th place.

At the South Zone Championships (for private schools including Awty International), I broke the SPC records for 100 breast (was 1:00.68) with 57.43. I broke my own record for the 200 IM which I set in 2021 at 1:54.82. New time: 1:52.64.

I was honored to be 1 of 50 fastest swimmers chosen to swim at a national camp of top swimmers with diverse backgrounds at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado. The National Diversity Select Camp was created to empower athletes from diverse backgrounds and under-represented populations. Selection is based on fastest times achieved at USA Swimming sanctioned events.

At the end of the year, I was honored when Awty International School awarded me the distinction of Athlete of the Year for my swimming achievements.

Each year, USA Swimming recognizes swimmers who excel both in the classroom as well as the pool. After my sophomore year, I was named to the USA Swimming's Scholastic All-American team. To be an All-American, swimmers must be in the 9th to 12th grade with a 3.5 GPA or above and hold at least one individual event time for Speedo Winter Junior Nationals. Last year less than 1,400 student athletes (out of over 130,000) from all over the nation held this distinction.
